Another investment in the future of Port of Hartlepool

16th July 2026

Last week, we welcomed the arrival of a new Konecranes Gottwald ESP.6 mobile harbour crane at Port of Hartlepool, following assembly and testing in Antwerp.

The 390-tonne crane has a maximum lift capacity of 125 tonnes and a working radius of up to 49 metres, further strengthening the port’s cargo handling capabilities.

The new crane joins the Sennebogen 875M materials handler at Port of Hartlepool as part of our ongoing investment in the port, making sure we have the infrastructure, equipment and flexibility to meet changing customer requirements and support future growth.

Port of Hartlepool has built a reputation for versatility.

From bulk cargo and offshore renewables to project cargoes and specialist operations, the port continues to evolve to meet the needs of the markets it serves. With lock-free access to the North Sea and a cluster of industry-leading businesses based on site, Hartlepool remains a key gateway for trade, energy and offshore activity.

This latest investment is another step in ensuring the port is ready for the opportunities ahead.
