Our latest investment at the Port of Hartlepool, the Sennebogen 875M materials handler is improving efficiency, versatility and accuracy with every lift, helping to make Hartlepool a leading hub for renewables and bulk cargo.
With a range of grab attachments, the £2m mobile asset can be used to handle a wide variety of cargoes – from breakbulk cargo to steel products, as well as renewables including bales and pellets along with dry bulks such as talc and rutile sand.
It has advanced hydraulics and precision controls that mean that even the most challenging loads can be handled with ease.
It’s versatility allows it to operate anywhere in the port, from the quay edge to the back reaches of the site and its large storage areas.
The Sennebogen 875M is pictured in action at Hartlepool, exporting bales of Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF), which is made up of non-recyclable commercial, industrial and household waste, including plastics, paper, cardboard and textiles.
This is then shredded, dried and processed into dense, manageable bales for use in fuelling waste-to-energy power plants.
Port of Hartlepool is recognised as a frontier port for the offshore industry, with lock-free access to the North Sea, a hub for renewables and home to a cluster of complementary, industry leading businesses.
The site offers a generous surrounding landbank of upto 180 acres for development complimented by skilled dock operatives, warehousing facilities, in house transport services and onward connections by road, rail and sea.
