Operating three Ro-Ro berths, Teesport is ideally placed to manage trailer and containerised cargo. Six sailings a week arrive from Zeebrugge. These services offer regular, on-time connections that provide fast transit times and smooth cargo journeys to markets across the North of England, Scotland and further afield. Excellent road and rail links are complemented by an onsite intermodal rail terminal, providing easy access to the port and making onward distribution both seamless and fast for all UK destinations.
Operations are managed and tracked via the world-renowned terminal operating system, Navis, powering intelligent movement of goods that maximises efficiency and increases visibility. An excellent health and safety record allows for the safe passage of Ro-Ro cargo into the port and onto its final delivery destination, complemented by industry accreditations, including the Port’s AEO accreditation, which demonstrates that our operations are secure, and that our customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant.
Teesport can handle various Ro-Ro cargo types including trailers, containers, refrigerated units, tanks and cars, with secure storage areas also available. At nearby Hartlepool, Ro-Ro berths are also available providing an alternative way to bring cargo into the Port.
