PD Ports, one of the UK’s major port groups, has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and collaborative Senior Warehouse Operative to join our team in Felixstowe. This particular vacancy has arisen due to internal moves within the company. 

Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday working day shift which typically start at 07:30 hrs

The five main things our Senior Warehouse Operative will be working on are:

  • Ensuring that there is an adherence to company’s Health and Safety policies.
  • Motivating and engaging with the Warehouse Operatives, Stock Control and Admin teams.
  • Supporting the Team Leaders in managing a fast-moving, constantly developing operation and resolving day-to-day operational and resource issues in our specialised Warehouse, providing holiday/absence cover on some responsibilities at some times.
  • There may be an occasional requirement to work in one of our other warehouses, to meet the needs of the business demands which are appropriate to your capabilities and skills.
  • General office duties include loading and receipt of produce, ensuring correct storage methods and procedures are adhered to.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Is an active team player.
  • Can be a reliable & dependable person within the team.
  • Can operate machinery at height, which requires a valid Counter Balance Licence.
  • Has proven experience in a supervisory role.
  • Has excellent people skills, problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong organisational skills and professional attitude.
