A vacancy has arisen for an experienced and strategically focused Operations Manager, this is a full-time role at PD Ports within the Operations department.

Location: Groveport and Keadby
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday 0800-1700, however flexibility is required to work around vessel schedules.

The five main things our Operations Manager will be working on are:
• Ensuring safety by operating in line with industry best practices and always looking at ways to improve.
• Vessel operations, discharging multiple commodities to various on dock and off dock locations.
• Manpower planning for the safe and efficient discharge of vessels and associated tasks.
• P&L / Budget, ensuring your department minimise costs and meets budgetary requirements.
• Future planning of workflows and new work streams, working closely with the commercial department to win new business.
• Performance improvements across all metrics by constantly analysing data and looking for waste to tackle.

• Has experience with multiple commodity types.
• Is used to working in a fast-paced environment.
• Is safety orientated and keeps it at the heart of everything they do.
• Has good business acumen and can identify better ways of working and implement change.
• Constantly strives to improve performance and reduce costs.
