An exciting new opportunity has arisen with a major logistics provider to lead a multi-site transport operation. As Senior Transport Manager, you will take responsibility for a modern distribution fleet operating from a number of UK locations.
Your main focus will be to develop the wider transport strategy for business whilst ensuring the smooth running of day to day operations. This new position will form part of the senior management team and will therefore work closely with the commercial managers to help develop transport concepts and implement successful contract wins. In addition you will be responsible for ensuring the existing transport operation remains compliant through close management of the transport teams.
The ideal candidate will have likely progressed through the ranks of a transport department into a senior transport management role. You will need to be financially and commercially savvy with the ability to build a clear transport strategy. You will need to demonstrate an ability to develop transport solutions, help present them to customers, and implement them into a multi-user network environment.
