The Role
This a great opportunity for a candidate with a strong electrical engineering background, who is self-motivated, team orientated and forward thinking to work as part of the engineering management team. Based primarily at Teesport, Middlesbrough with a requirement to support other facilities within the PD Ports Group. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and relevant electrical engineering codes of practice.
The key responsibilities include:
- Creation of scheme documentation and drawings
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Carry out competitive tenders in line with the company procurement process
- Contract award and management including site supervision and site meetings
- Collation of as-built information and H&S files
- Design of LV small power distribution
- Design of lighting systems both general and emergency
- Survey and condition reporting on existing electrical infrastructure
- Carry out CAPEX estimation as part of the company 5 year financial planning forecast

Candidate
Essential skills and qualifications include:
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in electrical engineering
- Driving Licence and own transport
- A proven record of accomplishment in solving electrical engineering problems
- Able to manage multiple projects at once ensuring they are delivered on time and in budget
In addition the following would be advantageous:
- AutoCAD experience
- Working knowledge of CDM
- The ability to carry out manual cable calculations as well as software design
- 18th Edition IET Wiring regulations
- Knowledge of working with HV equipment up to 11Kv
