An opportunity has arisen for an experienced crawler crane driver to join the team based at our Groveport site, Gunness, Scunthorpe. Groveport covers 190 acres and is an inland port complex on the River Trent boasting nine berths with sea access via the Humber Estuary. Groveport can provide a number of port services including chartering, ships agency, stevedoring, warehousing and logistics.
The role of crawler crane driver will essentially be the discharging and loading of short sea coaster vessels using RB crawler cranes but will also entail other site/stevedoring operations. This will include manual handling, operating plant and equipment i.e. forklift truck, skid steer Bobcat, loading shovel and site shunt vehicles. The successful candidate will be expected to work to the highest standards of Health and Safety.
Previous experience on ship to shore cranes is essential.
The hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week worked flexibly over a seven day period dependent upon operational requirements. Additional overtime may be required to meet the needs of the business.
