We have formidable links and complete coverage with our UK based logistics service, either directly from within the PD facility or by utilising the immediate hinterland as a primary focus. PD Ports is able to offer you a number of dedicated, multi user and 4PL solutions, starting with:
The difference is clear. As an integral element of the PD Ports service, operating a logistics business is a key differentiator. The PD Logistics fleet is represented at every PD Ports location throughout the UK. The fleet operates in both a dedicated contract capacity and as multi user fleet.
We provide a dedicated logistics service for a number of our blue chip clients throughout the UK, in many cases acting as the vital link in their supply chain, when combined under the portcentric concept. The contract fleet is working in a number of sectors, such as container logistics, steel and associated products, FMCG and automotive to name a few. We’re proud to tell you that many of our vehicles are operating in the client’s own branded livery.
Multi User Logistics
Supporting our contract fleet in peak demand periods, and providing ad-hoc logistics services to the full range of PD Ports portfolio, the multi user fleet is available throughout the UK for delivery of both import cargoes and the collection of export cargoes. All can be geared up for your needs too, inbound or outward bound.
4 PL Logistics
For many clients the nature of their cargo movements are such that there is a requirement for a large number of vehicles needed within a short period of time. That calls for adaptability; an example includes a large bulk vessel calling into one of the many PD Ports facilities throughout the UK. In this instance we were been able to provide, through our 4PL service, a range of vehicles drawn from both our own fleet and our extensive range of approved subcontractors. A perfect combination to create positive results.
