We’re delighted that seven members of our team have been shortlisted for the Multimodal 30 Under 30 list. The prestigious list features young people in the industry who are paving the way for the future and were nominated for their outstanding work and passion for the logistics sector.

To celebrate this fantastic achievement, we caught up with each of our nominees to find out more about them and their role within PD Ports…

After completing a Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration in October 2019, Aisha Mae Hind now has a full-time role as an Operations Admin Clerk at our Groveport site, where she supports the operations team in their daily duties.

Despite coming to the end of her apprenticeship, Aisha has continued to develop her personal and professional skills, always taking advantage of any educational opportunities that become available.

Her ambition is to study a degree apprenticeship within PD Ports and work towards her goal of becoming a Business Development Manager.

Discussing her nomination in the 30 Under 30 list, Aisha said: “I am humbled by the fact PD Ports nominated me and I am forever grateful for each opportunity I receive.”

Quickfire Q&A:

Q: What’s your favourite way to relax?

A: There’s no better way to relax than on a rollercoaster! I spend most of my free time seeking out new theme parks to go to.

Q: What’s your favourite food?

A: Controversial one, but anything with pineapple on it – especially pizza! Oh, and cookie dough.

Q: Where is your favourite place to visit?

A: Alton Towers!

Q: Do you have any pets?

A: A cat called Elsie, although I’d say she owns us rather than we own her.

Q: How would your colleagues describe you?

A: Like a Labrador puppy – bonkers, excitable, and energetic, but also loyal and hardworking.

Q: Do you have any hidden talents?

A: I’m weirdly naturally skilled at go-karting.

Q: Describe yourself in three words

A: Spontaneous, impulsive, confident.

Q: Do you have any quirks?

A: The dictionary definition of a quirk is ‘a peculiar aspect of a person’s character or behaviour’, thus I think my colleagues would agree that I am a quirk as a person.

A mentionable one is that if I only see one magpie while I am driving I will drive around until I see another (one for sorrow, two for joy!) hence why I leave for work extra-early every morning!

Stay tuned to hear the 30 Under 30 winners in September!
