Described as an essential update for the ports industry, the UK Ports Conference this year takes place Tuesday May 14th in London – bringing together senior representatives from across the ports, shipping and maritime sectors.

Once again, there is an impressive line-up of speakers from across the industry including representatives from Transport for North, British Ports Association and the UK Chamber of Shipping. So, it is an honour for our Group Development Director, Geoff Lippitt to be invited to speak on a panel discussing the importance of improved connectivity to support port development.

Geoff will be highlighting the need for improved rail capacity and gauge development to support the UK’s position as a trade partner of choice. With PD Ports operating at 13 locations nationwide, the company understands the critical need for infrastructure development, not only to support business needs but also to reduce our carbon footprint – something that is outlined as part of our company mission.

The event promises to offer an insight into the latest policy issues and how ports can respond to uncertainty, while also exploring how to deliver successful port development. For more information see the UK Ports Conference website.
