After over 10 years of being Chief Executive Officer of PD Ports, I have been offered and accepted a position with our shareholder Brookfield Asset Management. I will be working from the London offices and will become Director of Operations within the Brookfield Infrastructure European team, with an initial focus on the UK and European Ports Assets.
I will also take up the position of Chairman of PD Ports, so I will remain heavily involved in the future strategy and developments of the business with a real focus on continuing our growth agenda in a number of sectors.
It has been a great privilege to undertake the role of the CEO in this fantastic business and to say the least it has been a very interesting period. I am particularly pleased about the levels of investment that been injected into our infrastructure over this period, with over £1bn of direct and indirect investments have been secured, which will ensure that PD Ports remain a market leading business into the future.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for support to the business and you can be assured that the team are very determined and focused to continue the progress we have made during this period and provide you with an excellent level of service.
With effect from 15 March 2017, there will be two internal promotions to the board of PD Ports, and consequent changes within the senior executive structure within the Company.
Frans Calje will become Chief Executive Officer, with full responsibility for leading the overall performance of the business with and through the executive and management teams. Frans will report to Roberto Marcogliese in Brookfield.
Jerry Hopkinson, will become Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chairman of PD Ports and along with the other Executive team members will report to Frans.
These appointments will significantly strengthen the very progressive relationship between PD Ports and Brookfield, as we work on the delivery of a series major projects and the growth of our business streams in Teesport, Humberside and across the UK.
