A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Environment Manager to join our team. Responsible to the Group HSE Manager, this new and exciting role will be leading on environmental risk and opportunity across the group and enhancement of our certified environmental management system. The Environment Manager plays a key role providing technical expert environmental guidance and direction.

 

The five main things the Environment Manager will be working on are:

  • Supporting effective and proportionate management of environmental risk, and facilitation of environmental communications, engagements, and campaigns across the group.
  • Development of the Environment Management System for the business to maximise efficiency, risk mitigation and business focus.
  • Monitoring implementation of risk control approaches, ensuring compliance and delivery of continual improvement programmes in pursuit of excellence.
  • Working with L&D to develop learning programmes relating to environmental sustainability and environmental legal compliance.
  • Working closely with the Group HSE Manager on environmental policy, strategy and target development.

We are seeking someone who has:

  • Experience in high hazard environments, with a deep understanding of legislation and developing environmental risk management systems
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills are essential, coupled with an ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Member of IEMA, with demonstrable continued professional development.
  • An environmental related Degree / Diploma qualification
