Due to increased workloads an opportunity has arisen for experienced LGV Class 1 drivers to deliver steel throughout the UK.
Applicants must hold a LGV class C & E licence and valid Driver CPC card, with previous experience of steel movements preferable. Consideration will be given to drivers who have long or wide load knowledge, with curtain side trailer and container experience could also prove useful. However initial full training will be given on steel restraint methods to suitable candidates, in which a mature, flexible, enthusiastic attitude to work is essential.
Applicants must also have an excellent attitude towards Health & Safety along with an understanding of the safe and competent driving of articulated vehicles & legal compliance such as load securing, pre use vehicle checks and tachograph legislation.
Hours of work will be as the business requires, which can include nights & weekend work when required, but all within the driver’s EU rules. We offer competitive terms and conditions of employment.
