PD Ports is now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Health and Safety Officer, to join our inclusive and welcoming team at our Groveport site. This role will support the Health & Safety Manager and will focus on the effective management and delivery of positive Health & Safety outcomes. You will be responsible for auditing and facilitation of improvement plans, reviewing and monitoring compliance, undertake accident and near miss investigations and panels of enquiry, report on health and safety performance and support both management and workforce by providing technical advice on a variety of Health, Safety and Environmental issues. You will undertake risk assessments and help develop method statements, safe systems of work and take part in safety audits. You will collect, analyse and collate data including the production monthly/annual accident/health and safety performance statistics using the company approved format. You will pro-actively monitor legislation, implement and communicate changes to ensure the business remains legally compliant. You will support the Health and Safety Manager in delivering a wide range of initiatives, mange the RIDDOR reporting process and have input in developing group wide health and safety strategy.
Ideally you will be NEBOSH qualified with experience in a similar role, be confident and have excellent IT and communication skills. You must be able to forge excellent working relationships with our team members at all levels to be successful in this role.
