The Role
PD Ports is seeking a General Worker (Electrical), with experience in facilities operation – this could be heavy plant, manufacturing or port-associated activities – to support the team of Engineers and Electricians. With a current driving licence, you will be the go-to person on our site, who enjoys a varied role where no two days are the same.
As a General Worker, you will support the team of Engineers and Electricians. You will also perform various routine maintenance tasks across multiple sites in the Middlesbrough and Hartlepool area. You’ll be operating plant where required (van mount/MEWP).
In your first few weeks in this General Worker role, you should expect to undertake the following:
- Electrical servicing of buildings and structures
- Assisting contractors
- Meter reading
- Assisting the Electricians/Engineers as required
The Candidate
To apply for this General Worker role, you will need experience in a facilities operation, this could be heavy plant, manufacturing or port-associated activities to support the team of Engineers and Electricians. You will also require the following:
- A full UK driving licence
- An understanding of industrial/commercial site environment
- Good understanding of maintenance processes
- Skills in specific trades (an advantage)
