Cargo Handling
Terminals

PD Ports, Teesport, Dock's Division, operate a number of deep water cargo handling terminals within the Port.

Labour

Each terminal has its own dedicated workforce in addition to a central pool of skilled labour. Working hours cover 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be arranged to meet the needs of our customers.

Equipment

Dock's Division has continually invested in the latest cargo handling machinery. In recent years 9 reach stackers, 4 Gottwald harbour cranes, a KSR gantry container crane and numerous terminal tractors and fork lifts have been added to complement the modern machinery available to handle customers' cargo.

Road and Rail Links

The Tees enjoys close proximity to the national motorway network. Terminals at Teesport and Hartlepool are directly connected to the UK rail system serving several inland locations daily, thereby ensuring easy access to markets. English, Welsh and Scottish Railways (EWSR) operate bulk trains into the Port and also have three daily intermodal services to the North West and Scotland.
