The ports of Tees and Hartlepool have been served for over one hundred years by
a dedicated and professional Harbour Police force.
The Harbour Police operate 24 hours a day, 52 weeks of the year. The team of officers
patrol the ports of Tees and Hartlepool, detecting crime and providing as safe an
environment as possible whilst also protecting the Port’s assets, personnel and
commercial interests.
CCTV and the use of highly visible personnel promote the prevention of crime by
removing criminal opportunities increasing the risk of criminals being caught.
In support of Harbour Police crime prevention activities, the team of officers have
established long standing relationships with external bodies. This strong local
support to ensure the safe keeping of Tees and Hartlepool ensures the officers can
respond quickly and effectively to any incident.
