At the Port, PD Ports' terminal is within short steaming distance of the near Continental ports of Antwerp and Rotterdam, providing a logical choice as a strategic hub for deep sea transhipment cargo, originating in the Far East.

PD Ports operates a rail connected, shortsea container terminal at the Southern end of the Royal Dock.
